Who doesn’t admire Celine Dion.

Celine Dion is not just an accomplished singer, she is also a very successful entrepreneur. Her entertainment empire has been valued at $800 million. Not bad for a woman of modest means from a small town in Quebec.

A new report, Women Entrepreneurs Beyond the Stereotypes, and awareness campaign, See It Be It, has come out to celebrate women entrepreneur success stories. It includes 1000+ stories of diverse Canadian women. Celine Dion is just one of these amazing women profiled in this campaign.

Many successful female entrepreneurs are thriving today, from all walks of life. Yet, we don’t hear much about these leaders, since they are not often featured in mainstream media. But, they are still out there and successful.

And when examples of successful women aren’t seen by girls, women and minorities, we all miss out on important and necessary sources of inspiration and guidance. Young girls need to see who they might want to become, in order to help them dream and strive for a future that fits with their interests and talents.

“We also know that if you can see it, you can be it,” says Dr. Wendy Cukier, Director of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub.
